Have your approval to become a foster carer formally agreed by Essex Fostering. They usually make a decision within two weeks of the recommendation from the panel.
If you are approved to become a foster carer, your supervising social worker will prepare you for the arrival of your foster child.
You may get a phone call fairly quickly or you may have to wait a few weeks. The important thing for you is to feel confident that you will be ready when the moment arrives.
