Looking after your mental health

Find out about support for your mental health

Your personal adviser can introduce you to a mental health coordinator. They can support you with:

  • your emotional wellbeing
  • accessing local services

We are here to support you and are always here to listen. We can support you when you are moving from children’s mental health services to adults.

You can get support from the Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing team at Essex County Council.

You can also get help from charities such as:

  • Become, a charity for children in care and young care leavers
  • Childline can help with a range of issues, if you are under 19
  • Kooth, an online mental wellbeing community
  • Samaritans, a 24 hour support service for anyone who needs someone to talk to
  • Young Minds, mental health support for young people and their parents and carers
  • Youth Access, an advice and counselling network for young people
