Events for Care Leavers
All events are free and will take place at Danbury Outdoor Centre, Well Lane, Danbury, CM3 4AB
Care Leaver event
This event is for young people over the age of 18 who have left care.
The care leaver event will take place on Monday 12 August between 4pm and 8pm.
There will be refreshments available throughout the evening.
A minibus will be running between Chelmsford train station and Danbury Outdoors on the day of the event. This is for people who would otherwise struggle to reach the event venue.If you would like to book a place on the minibus, email natalie.vince@essex.gov.uk.
Outdoor cinema
This event is for all children, young people and families who receive a service from adult social care. Children remain the responsibility of their parent, carer or support worker at all times.
The outdoor cinema will be taking place at 7pm on:
- Wednesday 14 August, showing Wonka
- Thursday 15 August, showing Sing 2
There will be pre-film entertainment before the film starts at sunset. We recommend bringing a chair or blanket to sit on whilst you watch the film.
Food can be purchased on site. All children and young people who receive a service from social care will be given food tokens.
Book tickets for the outdoor cinema
If you are a care leaver with children
You can take your children to the under 8's activity morning. Children remain your responsibility at all times during the event.
The under 8's activity morning will take place on Wednesday 14 August between 10am and 1pm.
Activities include woodland adventures, games and forest school.
Lunch is included for everyone at the event.
