Upgrades planned for Colchester bus shelters

We have entered into a 10-year partnership with Clear Channel UK for the maintenance and upkeep of bus shelters in the county.

Part of this includes upgrades to around 100 shelters in Colchester. The first new shelters will be installed from 24 February. This is in addition to the 70 new shelters that have already been upgraded across Essex.

The new shelters offer seats, motion sensor lighting, room for prams and wheelchairs. Some will also include digital real-time information screens and advertising panels.

The aim is to improve the experience of travelling by bus. Upgrades are expected to be completed by the summer.
