The top tech businesses in Essex have been recognised in the new edition of the Ambitious Essex Tech 50 list.
The list includes businesses from each of the Greater Essex districts, boroughs and cities. They range in size from start-ups to household names, such as Teledyne.
The list covers a range of industries, including the likes of:
- IT services
- gaming
- agriculture
- financial technology
We created the Tech 50 in 2024 to celebrate innovation and recognise the top businesses in the sector. The latest list recognises the top tech firms in the county right now.
This year we judged the Ambitious Essex Tech 50 business against a set of criteria. These are:
- turnover
- funding and investment secured
- approach to skills and employment
- local and global reach
- growth potential
- innovations
Councillor Louise McKinlay, Essex County Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communities, Economic Growth and Prosperity, said: “The tech sector in Essex is absolutely thriving and the county is right at the heart of the tech revolution happening across the UK right now.
“The businesses on the Ambitious Essex Tech 50 are at the forefront of innovation in the industry and leading ground-breaking developments which are changing the tech, research and manufacturing industries in Essex and across the country.
“We’re passionate about supporting innovative businesses and industries and it is encouraging to see so many inspirational tech businesses in the county embrace new ways of working and join the tech revolution.”
