We have launched an animation about healthy relationships for young people.
It has been developed by a group of local young people. The group have written and developed the animation 'Relationships: Bee-ing healthy'.
The project is part of the council’s wider early intervention work with young people that aims to reduce the risk of conflict, domestic abuse and poor mental health.
The animation outlines what a healthy relationship looks like and how to develop one. It aims to equip young people with the knowledge to be able to maintain positive relationships but also know how to safely exit unhealthy ones. The animation focuses on five key elements:
- be honest
- be open
- be respectful
- be brave
- believe in yourself
