A special event is being held to mark Learning Disability Week in Essex.

The aim of the day is to celebrate those in the community we support with a learning disability. The event, which takes place on Friday 21 June at Harlow Town Park, will showcase their work and achievements.

It takes place during Learning Disability Awareness Week (17 to 23 June). The theme of the week this year is “Can you see me?”.

At the event, different community partners will have stalls where they will share information and host activities. There will also be performances throughout the day at the bandstand between 12noon and 5pm.

Just a few of the organisations confirmed to attend include:

  • Essex County Council Adult Social Care
  • NHS partners
  • employment support
  • carers support
  • Essex Cares Limited
  • PACT for Autism
  • Zinc Arts
  • Razed Roof
