A new, door-to-door digital, journey-planning tool has won first place at a national awards ceremony.
The “All Roads Lead from Home” project has been developed by our Sustainable Transport Team in collaboration with You. Smart. Thing. It bridges the gap for residents of ten housing developments with a postcode that isn’t yet recognised on standard mapping tools.
The journey-planning tool ensures residents see the most sustainable routes first when planning their journeys. All abilities are catered for, for example different cycling ability options are available. The tool has generated 143 travel plans for residents across the ten Essex sites.
The team won the Community Engagement of the Year category at the annual Team Modeshift Sustainable Travel Awards on Thursday 23 November.
