The Harlow and Tendring Retrofit Pipeline for Economic Renewal project has received its second award of the year. The programme has received the ‘Collaboration of the year – knowledge building and research’ award at the Unlock Net Zero Live Awards 2023.

Retrofitting is adding extra functionality to existing buildings to make them more sustainable. This can involve installing heat pumps, adding solar panels or improving insulation.

We worked with the Retrofit Academy CIC on the programme. More than 240 residents received funded retrofit qualifications.

The first Unlock Net Zero Live Awards 2023 took place at Housing 2023. This year it explored the reality of the net zero transition for housing and the built environment.

It is the second award we’ve received for the project this year. In May, the programme also won the Delivering Clean Growth category at the ADEPT President’s Awards
