If your child is due to start primary or secondary school from September 2025, here are some important dates for you.
Your responsibility
It is your responsibility to apply for a school place at the correct times. We won't send you any letters to inform you to apply for your child’s school place.
Secondary school places for September 2025
Applications for the 2025 school year are now closed.
If you wish to make a late application for a secondary (year 7) school place, use our online late application form.
All applications received after 31 October 2024 will be treated as late and will only be processed after all on-time applications.
You are less likely to get a place at one of your preferred schools if you apply late
Primary and junior school places for September 2025
From 4 November 2024 you can apply online for your child’s primary (reception) or junior (year 3) school place.

Applications received after the 15 January 2025 are considered late and will reduce your chance of being offered a place at your preferred schools.
