Our plan for a more inclusive Essex
Our disability strategy sets out what we will do over the next four years to support people with:
- learning disabilities
- autism and neurodivergence, where this is experienced as a disability
- sensory impairment
- physical disabilities
We are already helping lots of people in Essex to live the best life they can, but we need to make sure this is the case for every person. We want to help people get what they want and expect from their lives. To do this we will support each person by understanding who they are and what they might need across their whole life.
We used valuable feedback from our consultation to inform the final version of our disability strategy.
