Join our residents' panel
Our residents' panel is an opportunity for you to have your voice heard at a senior level within the council. You can tell us your views about the services and issues that matter to you, and we'll listen to your feedback and look for ways to improve. We'll give you regular updates on what changes have been made as a result of that feedback.
To be a panel member, you must:
- live in Essex
- be aged 18 or older
It's quick and easy to sign up and start helping to shape decisions with your feedback.
How the panel works
We ask for your feedback through a maximum of 6 surveys and engagement exercises a year. This will mostly be online, although there may be some occasions when we invite panel members to take part in research carried out by telephone, or in face-to-face focus groups or one-to-one interviews.
You can choose what you take part in and you do not have to respond to everything that we send you.
The role is unpaid, but we may run prize draws as an incentive for taking part.
The sorts of things we want to hear your views on may include:
- education in your area
- opportunities for children and young people
- the pressures facing families
- how we travel, both now and in the future
- the local environment and climate change
- how we can create opportunities for jobs and growth
- the mental and physical health of people in Essex
- local services and amenities
