We have updated the booking number for our shared transport service, DigiGo. The new number is 0345 603 7633. It will come into effect from Wednesday 23 October.
Along with the new number, we have increased our phone line opening hours. From 23 October, the phone line will be available from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
These changes are in response to demand for the service and feedback from residents. They mean the service is even more accessible.
Councillor Tom Cunningham, Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Highways, Infrastructure and Sustainable Transport, said:
Extending the DigiGo phone line hours demonstrates a real commitment to listening to residents, acting on their feedback and to iterating the service. This extension will benefit all residents, particularly those who do not have access to a smartphone. By providing an alternative for booking journeys, DigiGo continues to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy modern day public transport options."
The DigiGo service is available to all residents within the travel zone. It offers a flexible, on-demand system that connects rural and suburban communities. It removes the need for fixed routes or timetables.
