Green Entrepreneurs’ Programme opens for applications

Four men smiling stood in front of a brick building.

The Green Entrepreneurs’ Programme is now open for applications. The nine-week programme is open to those with a new sustainable business, or with a green business idea.

Building upon the success of last year’s pilot, we are working with Art Clubbers CIC to deliver a more impactful programme. Running three times over the next year, it will support entrepreneurs with insightful workshops, networking events and funding opportunities.

The programme will culminate in a pitch event with a panel of expert judges. The winning entrepreneur will receive £5,000 to grow their business, while two runners up will receive £2,500 each.

The Green Entrepreneurs’ Programme consists of a series of online webinars, delivered by national and international experts. Topics will include:

  • marketing and branding
  • funding and finance
  • project management
  • setting goals and building a strategy

Art Clubbers CIC will also host networking events, both for those participating in and entrepreneurs outside of the programme.

Networking opportunities will help entrepreneurs who are not yet involved to learn more about the programme. They will then be invited to apply for the second and third rounds in the autumn and winter.

Eligibility criteria and applications

The programme is open to individuals and teams across Greater Essex. This includes Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council and Thurrock Council.
