NHS treatment and recovery service for substance misusers
How it can help
Essex Stars is an NHS service supporting people to recover from drug and alcohol misuse. Their support includes:
- comprehensive assessment and recovery care planning
- 1:1 support and care co-ordination
- advice and information
- counselling and relapse prevention
- support for service users, relatives and carers
- substitute prescribing for opiate addiction
- Hepatitis B vaccinations
- Hepatitis C testing and referral to treatment
- care management
- liaison with criminal justice services
