Love Essex is the official website of the Essex Waste Partnership. 

The partnership is made up of the 12 district, city and borough councils in Essex and Essex County Council working together to ensure cost-efficient and sustainable waste management across the county. 

Essex County Council is the Waste Disposal Authority and is responsible for disposing of the waste collected by councils in Essex and recycling centres.

Your local district council is the Waste Collection Authority and is responsible for collecting rubbish and recycling from:

  • homes
  • litter bins and street cleansing
  • on-street recycling banks
